Antique English Art Deco silver plated four piece tea set. The set consists of a tea pot, a coffee pot, a cream jug & a sugar bowl. Each piece is of a square tapering form with plain sides, fluted corners & raised on a stepped square base. The teapot & coffee pot both have a nice geometric shaped black Bakelite handle with a matching black Bakelite square shaped finial on a hinged lid. The teapot has a swan neck pouring spout & the coffee pot has a nice shaped top pouring spout. The sugar bowl has a matching shaped lifting handle on either side with the cream jug having a matching handle & pouring spout. Each piece has nice geometric shaped details which are typical of the Art Deco period from when this set was made. A nice addition to this set is the teapot has a small inscription on one side of the base which dates the set exactly to 1936. Each piece marked on the underside with the makers mark. Lovely fully usable collectors item.

Condition.
Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. There are no dings or dents & there is just a very slight rubbing through on the very extremities of the corner edges in places. This can be seen in the photographs above.
