Description
Antique English Edwardian solid sterling silver cigarette case. Square shaped case with rounded edges & curved from one side to the other so as to fit neatly into a gentleman's pocket. Beautifully decorated on the front & back with hand chased acanthus leaf decoration & a vacant shield shaped cartouche on the front. Push button catch on one side which opens the two halves with a nice tight fitting hinge on the other. Gilt washed interior & an elastic cigarette retainer on both sides (one possibly not the original). Fully hallmarked inside on both sides of the case. A nice fine example, lovely collectors item. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the overall description.
