Description
Antique Georgian 18ct rose gold garnet & split pearl closed back mourning ring, c1790. A central bezel set cabochon garnet & 19 claw set split pearls set in 18ct rose gold. The shoulders are double split finishing as a reeded shank. The back of the gallery is closed back & does have an inscription, but sadly the inscription is so rubbed with age, that there is only a faint trace just visible that can be seen with a loop. Not marked but tested as 18ct gold. A fantastic example. With gift box. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the overall description.
