Description
Antique hand carved Black Forest inkwell, full figural dog, glass eyes, c1900. A beautiful carved all round wooden inkwell in the form of a dog laid resting with holding a riding crop dip pen in it's mouth. Very detailed carving with glass eyes. Having hinged top with inkwell recess within & original glass well insert.Lovely collectors item which would be a fantastic addition to any collection.

Condition.
Excellent condition, with just a tiny piece of the end of the rope detail missing on the riding crop dip pen, this can be seen on the above photograph. This does not detract from the overall beauty & condition of this piece.
