Description
A very fine quality antique Indian solid silver tea pot. Dating from around the late Victorian/early Edwardian period the teapot is in the typical Lucknow style although marked on the under side with an unidentified maker in Bombay. Circular shaped body raised on a pedestal base with a very high quality detailed repousse hunting scene around the outside. Matching hunting scene on the top hinged lid & finished with a elephant finial on the top. Lifting handle on one side & pouring spout on the other both superbly detailed as elephant heads & trunks. The teapot is marked on the underside with the makers mark which unfortunately I have been unable to identify with "Bombay" & "Silver". Lovely collectors item.
