Description
A fine quality antique Indian solid silver claret jug with 2 matching goblets. The claret jug having a curved cobra handle & hand decorated with a pattern known as Kunji, in Europe known as paisley. The centre of the pattern having a tree with mangos. The two stemmed large goblets having the same heavily decorated paisley pattern with serpents to match the claret jug. This style of claret jug & goblets were often used by British officers who were based on the subcontinent of Asia. Not marked but tested as solid silver.
