Antique solid sterling silver gravity propelling pencil. Cylindrical shaped body with engine turned decoration around the outside & a monogrammed cartouche on the side. At the bottom end is a plain tapering band & at the top is a plain push button that when pressed releases the internal propelling pencil tip which extends by gravity & locks at the full extent hence the name gravity pencil. To retract the pencil the button is pushed again & the tip can be pushed back up by hand. The pencil has a twist action tip which extends & retracts the pencil lead mechanism. All the mechanisms are in excellent working order. The pencil comes complete with a lead in the tip. The pencil is fully hallmarked on the side of the body. Lovely collectors item.
