Description
A quality antique solid silver pictorial table snuff box. Rectangular shaped box with rounded edges & corners & decorated with fine repousse pictorial decoration around the outside & over the lid. Pictorial lid depicting a courting couple surrounded by swags & foliate decoration. On the sides are different scenes on each side of the box with foliate decoration in between. Shaped thumb piece on the front edge to lift the hinged lid. Finished with a guilt washed interior & fully hallmarked on the base. I believe this snuff box from the rubbed marks on the underside was made in Sweden & imported into the UK with English hallmarks. Lovely collectors item.
