Antique Victorian 9ct Gold propelling pencil bangle bracelet, Sampson Mordan, c1870's. Rose gold bangle with hook & eye clasp. The top of the bracelet having three loops housing a cylindrical shaped yellow 10ct gold Magic/Telescopic Sampson Mordan propelling pencil. Pull the top & the bottom section slides out from the body at the same time. A twist action tip which extends & retracts the internal pencil lead mechanism which is in full working order. Attached at the top is a safety chain & marked on the side of the top section "Sampson Mordan" & the arrow mark which is widely considered to indicate 10ct gold. Complete with it's original tooled leatherette Prize Medals presentation case, marked inside the satin lined inner lid reads, " Prize Medals Manufacturing Goldsmiths Silversmiths Company 112 Regent Street London" . The inner base being lined with navy blue velvet. A fabulous rare piece from the Victorian era & a great addition to a collection.
